2/26/05 My old band, by the unfortunate name of The Studs, has been asked to reform for a reunion at one of the last shows at Geno's (13 Brown St.) on March 8th. It should be entertaining, at the very least.
3/7/05 "Prelude in Three Lights" was accepted! Come one, Come all to Corthell Concert Hall on the USM Campus in Gorham, April 20th, 8pm! I had better start writing out the parts...
3/11/05 The Studs show went well, despite a blizzard which thinned the crowd a bit. I got some good pictures which I will post here soon.
3/29/05 The aforementioned pictures are up, and I am reminded of the biblical/Al gore line about "putting aside my childish things." It was fun, of course, and I could not pass up the opportunity to play at Geno's one last time before they closed the doors forever (at least at that location.) Many thanks to my esteemed colleagues Shawn Walsh and Matthew Kiernan.
Other than that: I am on vacation this week, working on scoring a short film by a young Brazillian auteur named Alvaro Fernandez. It is a lovely anachronistic piece in old German Expressionist style. Next comes the String Quartet, followed by some work on "Mumbletypeg: a Spectacular and Generic Tragedy."
