| Meeting My Husband
I met Gary in October 1969, he and
Alan picked my sister, Toni and I up hitchhiking. I did
not see him again until the end of March when Gary and Alan came to our
Spring Fling at Saint Joseph's College. We danced and played pool
the whole evening.
We went out for a couple of weeks,
got engaged and were married May 25, 1970. We were told it wouldn't
last, we hadn't known each other long enough. I guess we both knew
we had found our "soul mates" because we are still happily married.
Hobbies
My first love for hobbies is riding
my 1998 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider. I have been motorcycling
since I won a 1991 HD 1200 Sportster on August 4, 1991. Gary and
I kept the Sportster for a year and then traded it in for a 1993 Dyna Low
Rider, which we both drove. Last March, Gary got a 1998
HD Ultra Classic and I got my new Dyna.
We have taken many motorcycling
trips including 2 trips to Milwaukee, one in 1993 and one in 1998 for the
90th and 95th Harley Davidson Anniversaries. Some of our trips include
in 1994, Florida, Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Mountains; Delaware Valley
and Richmond, VA in 1995 for HOG Annual Rally.
Last summer we also drove to Harleysville,
PA to visit friends. In that one weekend, we traveled over 1300 miles.
We usually make 3-4 trips per year
on the bike back to my hometown, Van Buren, Maine.
We
belong to the following Harley Owners Group (HOG) chapters:
-
Southern Maine Portland Chapter
-
Bangor, Maine Chapter
-
Aroostook County, Maine Chapter
-
Augusta, Maine Chapter
-
Seacoast Chapter (Portsmouth
NH)

This year we plan on attending the
Annual Rally, which will be held in Greenville, SC. The Rally is
July 14th - 17th. We will also be going to Americade for a
weekend; Americade is in Lake George, NY.
Gary will be leading a group to
Caribou, Maine so that we can do the Dealer Ride with the Aroostook Chapter
for the Maine State Rally. The Dealer Ride is leaving the Caribou
dealer and stopping at all Maine dealers on the way to the Maine State
Rally, which is being held in Old Orchard Beach.
Other hobbies include Skiing, playing
pool, and camping.

Family
Gary and I have one daughter,
Toni. She was born on May 24, 1971 and weighed 4 lbs. 1 oz.
She has just started her own accounting and tax preparation company, which
she runs out of her home. Toni has given us 2 fantastic grandchildren;
Zach and Denali.
Zach was born on November 20, 1996.
He is very smart, mechanically gifted even at this young age and very athletic.
Denali was born on October 29, 1998. She is a very alert and strong
baby. We can already see her personality developing; she has a mind
of her own.

Career
I started working at Muskie School
of Public Service in September of 1993. I was employed as a Record

collection project for the State of Maine, Bureau of Medical Services.
It entails the data management of MDS (Nursing Homes) and RCA (Residential
Care Facilities) assessments. This data is used to set payment rates
to the homes and assure quality care to the residents.
I have received several promotions
but I am still working on the
same project. I am now a
