SRA. ESTEN'S HOMEPAGE

¡Hola! I am Spanish teacher at Mahoney and Memorial Middle Schools in South Portland, Maine.  My family and I also live here in southern Maine.  I am a graduate of Smith College and the London School of Economics.  While an undergraduate, I studied at the Universidad of Córdoba, Spain.

I enjoy coaching and playing sports, especially el fútbol (soccer) and el baloncesto (basketball). I love la música latina. You will find links to some of my current favorites, including multiple Latin Grammy winners Juanes and Shakira in the music and art section.

I also have nearly completed the requirements for my French teaching certificate.  When I finish that, I will add French links to this site!  In the meantime, here are some links that I hope students and teachers of Spanish, parents and others find fun and interesting.

There are so many fantastic resources online for learning about the Spanish language and the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.  I plan to continue to add to this page whenever I encounter interesting, quality sites. Of course, the information here is by no means exhaustive!  ¡La red es grandísima!  (The internet is “wicked” big!)
